Writing a Resume in the Past and Present Tense

Information in your targeted resume should be written in two tenses only - past and present - but mostly in the past tense. The present tense should be used only when you write about a current job experience.

Present Tense Example: I am improving methods for building relationships with clients and team members.

Past Tense Example: Improved systems and methods for building relationships with clients and team members.

Don't forget to write about accomplishments instead of duties and everyday responsibilities. Companies are searching for people who can ensure results and not people who just complete daily tasks.
