New year, fresh updates. We're wrapping up January with a wave of improvements across resumes, cover letters, and editor flexibility. From higher quality PDFs to new personalization options and widely requested regional features, this update focuses on giving you more control and a smoother editing experience.
What's new this month
Signature support for resumes and cover letters
After strong demand from our German community, signature support has arrived. You can now add a signature in the editor under Personal Details and Cover Letter. It currently appears at the bottom left of the document, with additional placement options planned in the future.
New optional Personal Details fields
New optional fields are now available, including LinkedIn Profile, Date of Birth, Nationality, Marital Status, and Visa Status. Some of these fields may increase the risk of recruiting bias, so they should only be used when required or expected by the employer. We previously avoided adding them to help reduce discrimination risks, but there are valid cases where this information can be useful.
Manual timeline ordering
Experience, Education, and other timeline-type entries can now be reordered manually, with the option to switch back to reverse chronological order at any time.
Dynamic Personal Details height
The Personal Details section now adjusts its height automatically instead of taking a fixed amount of space, helping fit more meaningful content on a single page.
Editable section headings directly in the editor
Section titles can now be renamed directly inside the editor, without switching to the Design window.
GDPR statement for Polish users
A GDPR consent statement can now be included in the resume footer under Personal Details in the Other section. This is a common practice in Poland, but is usually not needed in other countries.
Application date field for cover letters
A date can now be added to cover letters for more formal and complete job applications. This is especially common in Germany.
Higher quality PDF generation
The PDF engine was upgraded to produce sharper, clearer documents for better readability and parsing accuracy.
Many smaller improvements
Multiple bug fixes, performance enhancements, and usability refinements were shipped to make the overall experience more pleasant.
