The Difference Between Hard and Soft Type of Skills in a Resume

There are two types of skills embodied in every resume: hard and soft.

Hard skills are based on IQ and are the specific qualifications required to perform a particular job. For example, "Project Management", "Sales", or "Graphic Design". Hard skills are qualifications that are developed by working a specific job.

Soft skills are based on personality traits and can be applied to every job. They are referred to as "people skills" or "transferable skills", such as passion, communicability, positivity, or energy.
